Greenwell Design is totally committed to ‘one-planet’ thinking. The built environment is a major contributor to carbon emissions and the practice encourages its clients to share its agenda for energy conscious design.

To assist this process we can call on extensive research in to low energy housing in Scandinavia and North America as well as the UK. This has been complemented by sustainable communities masterplanning, utilising new urbanist techniques in recent eco town and Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiatives, where we are particularly interested in reconciling the government's Code for Sustainable Homes programme with the realities of high density urban contexts.
